  Abstract:  La première impression que fait l’ouvrage Marguerite Yourcenar, Portrait d’une voix, paru chez Gallimard au tout début de 2002, est celle d’un gros livre, qui approche les 500 pages, bien serrées. Sa présentation, en quatrième de couverture, explique le choix du titre, sans éviter certaines faiblesses du style journalistique. Peut-être par imprégnation, voire par mimétisme? Car ce livre recueille précisément vingt-trois entretiens accordés par Yourcenar à différents journalistes de différents pays, entre 1952 et 1987. Vingt-trois entretiens sur plus d’une centaine recensés, sans compter les émissions de radio ou de télévision, ni les entretiens déjà publiés. C’est dire le travail auquel a dû se livrer l’éditeur et présentateur de ces entretiens, Maurice Delcroix, éminent yourcenarien. - Et il en est qui continuent d’accuser de misanthropie celle qui a bien voulu se livrer si abondamment au public?
