Abstract: Being an extremely complex phenomenon, the act of translating involves an impeccable mastership of two languages, it involves talent and special skills, but also a significant amount of experience in this field. The academic activity developed with philology students throughout the practical translation courses has proved to us that phraseology and terminology are two areas in which a great deal of problems arise and very often indeed.
This paper outlines some of the difficulties students are faced with (the future professional translators) when translating from Russian into Romanian or the other way round, also trying to present possible strategies of preventing the mistakes which may occur with the two types of constructions mentioned above. We consider it is highly important to take into account the fact that translating not only involves a large amount of satisfaction, but also a great deal of responsibility Keywords: act of translating, practical translation courses, phraseology, terminology |
