Abstract:  Phenomenology of the Act of Faith, from the Aesthethic Level to the Mystical Level. For an Aesthetic Theology. This research advances the thesis according to which the act of faith is the belief (as in ”I believe that”), that implies the practice of intelligence, of feeling and will (the consent), not the aftermath of seduction. This belief is, though, always arbitrated aesthetically. The act of faith is, thus, the result of a totalizating thought that includes the fusion and conjunction between aesthetic (sensation-perception-emotion) and intellect, between subject and object, between body and world because we live, think and get to know things in the world, not outside it; we are part of this world, not simple ”observers” somehow disconnected.

Keywords: act of faith, phenomenology, aesthetic, beautiful, perception, rational, irrational, emotion, feeling, knowledge, Incarnation, corporality, kairὁs etc.
