  Abstract:  The Christic Theology of the Apostolic Fathers. The Apostolic Fathers passed on the teaching they received from the Apostles. They were convinced that the Salvation of Humankind was only possible due to the Embodiment of Christ. Only in this quality, as the Son of God, true God from true God, the Son of Man, having a body like ours from Virgin Mary, could Christ restore the face of God in humans.The Apostolic Fathers claim the purity of the Spirit of Christ, which they received from the Apostles and their disciples. Their teaching is based on the Holy Bible with few influences from the Judaism or Hellenism. They developed and enriched these teachings and passed them on to the next generations.
