Abstract:  According to scholars, school drama plays are works presented most of the time at school by students, for different occasions: religious holidays, convocations etc. Generally, the writer is the teacher of the school. Although the genre was born is the Middle Ages, it became popular during the Baroque Period. In this period theatres performed in religious schools, that is why literary history analyses these plays respecting confessional boundaries.
This paper presents three reformed school drama plays from the 18th century. It analyses how much they respect biblical traditions. The three drama plays are: Egy magyar Eszter-dráma, Krisztus kínszenvedése, written by Gábor Koncz, and Izsák és Rebeka házassága, written by Ferenc Pápai Páriz.
Finally, it may be concluded that each one of them respects the biblical traditions, it is based on the biblical story, but the authors develop the stories at the same time. New events and actors appear in every play.
