  Abstract:   The expression denoting piety has lost in today’s speech its positive unanimity. The technical terminology uses the expression of spirituality (French: spiritualité, German: Spiritualität) instead. This study first presents briefly the possibilities of definingthe expression, and after that touching upon contextual and geocultural relations it presents the interpretation of spirituality by the neuro-psychology and intelligence research. At the end we present some possibilities to apply in the pastoral counseling the ideas presented in the study.
