Abstract:  New Testament research still debates the authorship of the Epistle 2 Peter; therefore, before we analyze the eschatology of Epistle 2 Peter, we had to establish whose copyright belongs to what we have today in the canon of the New Testament as the Second General Epistle of the Apostle Peter. Given the similarities that exist between the Epistle of 2 Peter and Epistle Jude, scholars oscillates between considering the Epistle to be copy of Jude, a possible source of it, or a concurrent account. Therefore we decided to analyze these assumptions, to identify the author of the epistle, and consequently, the source of epistle’s eschatology.

Key-words: 2 Peter, Jude, copy, source, concurrent account
