Article:   CATHARS’ EDIT SOURCES. AN ANALITIC PRESENTATION.

Authors:  LIVIU VIDICAN-MANCI.

Abstract:  In order to speak about the Cathars, we must know the writings they left behind. The present paper aims at analytically presenting two of the most important works considered to be of Cathar origin: Liber de duobus principiis and Interrogatio Iohannis. The former is a book of Cathar origin, while the latter is a bogomil apocrypha, which was used by some of the moderate Cathars in the affirmation of their doctrine.

Keywords: Catharism, Liber de duobus principiis, Interrogatio Johannis.
