Abstract:  The „Saint Mary” Reunion of the Romanian Greek-Catholic Women of Cluj, an „Atypical Marian Reunion”. For the 110th anniversary of the „Saint Mary” Reunion of the Romanian Greek-Catholic women of Cluj, we wish to reveal some initiatives of the members, because this reunion is considered one of the eldest reunions in our country. Through its continuing activity during 1902-1948, the reunion proved itself as a model of social engagement in the social and religious field or in charity, in the society of Cluj. They do even more than their statutes clearly pretended. That is because the association needed to get the approval of the statutes from the Church. Overall, the reunion did not neglected the spiritual component, searching through all possible means to offer comfort and support for the people in need and to help those undecided. The members of the „Saint Mary” Reunion of Cluj succeeded to adapt themselves to the demands of time they lived and to mix in harmony the spiritual duty to the social needs.
