Abstract:  The Activity of the Greek-Catholic Church of Banat between 1920 and 1945. The United Church searched to improve its ecclesial organization, adapting to a created situation by the union of 1918. It wanted that the residence of Metropolitan seat should be in future at Bucharest, and the Greek-catholic believers of the northern Transylvania, for their own good, to have their diocese. The congress of the Romanian United priesthood of May, the14th and 16th, 1919 remarked the necessity of the setting up of two dioceses for the United believers. Based on the memories of the United Church, in the first project of Concordat, they wished from the Romanian Government a new United Metropolitan seat in Bucharest, a diocese for the United Romanian believers in Cluj and another one in Suceava for the Ukrainian United believers.
