Article:   NICHOLAS STEINHARDT OR THE PARADOX OF A LIFE.

Authors:  .

Abstract:  Nicholas Steinhardt or the Paradox of a Life. A life begun under the sign of Judaism and ended under the tent of Orthodoxy, a dramatic experience tied to the jail, seen, finally, as a happiness, a straight intellectual, training himself in examing the basis of the constitutional law and, equally, released of any constraint when it comes about culture, a not at all canon monastical existence, knitted to the several exits in the society, and especially in the world of culture beyond the walls of the monastery – all of these make us right to consider Nicholas Steinhardt as a paradoxal spirit.

Keywords: Nicholas Steinhardt, monastery, culture, life, Diary of Happiness.
