Abstract:  The Elementary Particles in the “Accelerator” of Thomistic Metaphysical Thought. The current general conception of contemporary physics regarding the matter (and its elementary particles, in special) stems from its primordial philosophical significance from the presocratic period developed over time by Epicurus, Aristotle, Toma de Aquino, Descartes, and others. But the scientific view of these physical entities can still be correlated, in a subtle manner without affecting its essence, with these concepts being, raw material, form and substance from the Tomist metaphysical thought, resulting in a much deeper gnosological paradigm with a heuristic value.

Keywords: matter, physical particles, energy, mass, form, substance, being
