  Abstract:  Viewpoints on Secularisation and Anticlericalism II. Our research attempts to have a detailed analysis on the life of Church during different eras or in different countries and explores the mentality within the society it lives in, highlighting a harsh hostility between 19th and 20th centuries. Beside the rare episodes of violence, the capital problem that remains is this: what are the motives that generate this hate against Church? How can we explain the fact that the politicians educated in the religious schools of Restoration decide after 1848 in favour of an anticlerical policy?
