  Abstract:  Ca urmare a solicitării primite din partea forurilor bisericeşti şi internaţionale de a se prezenta „viziunea pastorală de viitor şi liniile de dezvoltare ale Bisericii noastre cu privire la misiune, educaţie, cateheză şi Caritas”, s-a pregătit un text ce sintetizează drumul parcurs de BRU in ultimii şaisprezece ani: „De la căderea comunismului la integrarea europeană, de la renaşterea din propria «cenuşă» spre un nou avant european”. Conferinţa a fost susţinută la Roma, in 23 ianuarie 2007, la cea de-a 76-a intalnire organizată cu asociaţiile şi fundaţiile de ajutorare a Bisericilor orientale (R.O.A.C.O.), sub inalta prezidenţă a prea fericirii sale Ignace Moussa card. Daoud, Prefectul congregaţiei pentru Bisericile orientale şi avand ca moderator pe rev. mons. Phillippe Brizard, Preşedinte al asociaţiei Oeuvres d’Orient, in prezenţa a 76 de membri ai R.O.A.C.O. din diferite continente.
