  Abstract:  L’erezione e l’organizzazione del Vescovato Greco-Cattolico di Gherla ossia Armenopoli nel tempo del vescovo Ioan Alexi. La Bolla Pontificia Ad Apostolicam Sedem, data dal papa Pio IX nel 26 Novembre 1853, consacrava la nascita in Transilvania di un nuovo vescovato greco-cattolico, con la sede a Gherla (Armenopoli) ossia Szamos-Ujvàr, che prendeva cosi il nome della citta che doveva ospitarla per piu di un secolo.
