  Abstract:  Die Byzantinologie zwischen Improvisation un Wirklichkeit. Anmerkungen, kritische Bemerkungen und Ergänzungen zur Arbeit Byzantinologie. I von Vasile V.Munteanu. 1. Die Arbeit Byzantinologie I erschien 1999 beim Verlag Învierea des Orthodoxen Erzbistums von Timiºoara, unter der Obhut der Westuniversität. Sie hat 212 Seiten und 45 Abbildungen. Der Verfasser ist Vasile V. Munteanu. 2. Die Byzantinologie ist ein Bereich der Weltgeschichte, der die Geschichte, Sprache, Kultur, Kunst und das geistige Leben von Byzanz studiert. Die hier untersuchte Arbeit ist aber eine Art von sui generis-Lehrbuch, das eine Improvisation zur Geschichte von Byzanz darstellt. Der Titel entspricht nicht dem Inhalt, die chronologischen Grenzen sind falsch, die Fehler aller Art sind zahlreich.
