  Abstract:  Die Bibel versteht Leiblichkeit und Sexualität als Gabe Gottes an Menschen. Dieses vom Schöpfer-Gott erhaltene Geschenk ist ein unverzichtbarer Aspekt der Ganzheit der Person, welche dem Menschen zugleich die Möglichkeit zur personalen Begegnung schafft. In der folgenden Studie werden wichtige Aspekte der Geschlechtlichkeit – wie Ehe, Ehelosigkeit, Ehebruch, Polygamie bzw. kultische Prostitution – sowohl im Alten als auch im Neuen Testament herausgestellt und näher untersucht.
