  Abstract:  Traian Herseni and the agrarian Sociology. Traian Herseni was one of the most important Romanian sociologists, a remarkable representant of the Sociological School from Bucharest. He is known due to his written work. The document here published reveals his attributes as a mentor, by the medium of one of his students � Theodor Magder, publicist, translator and book editor from Basarabia. The testimonies of Theodor Magder bring to light the originality of other professors from Bucharest University, such as N. Iorga and D. Gusti. Thus, the document reveals memorable aspects from the intellectual biography of Tr. Herseni, within the context of the inter-war Romanian academic life.
