  Abstract:  Calendar System in Food Usage. Pork Preparation in Valea Doftanei. Our research is part of project developed by the “Marc Bloch” University of Strasbourg. The field research was conducted in the Tesila village, in the region of Valea Doftanei in the winter of 2003-2004. First of all, we realised an intersection between the observer and the observed, the discurse focusing on an ethnological endeavour largely ignored in the Roumanian approaches of the phenomenon. Besiles the pork preparation, the research also concentrates on other aspects of the Romanian cookery universe.
