  Abstract:  În anul 1923, Mircea Vulcănescu debuta ca publicist cu articolul, intitulat sugestiv, Aspiraţia la creştinism şi înţelesul ei actual. Religia creştină a devenit, din acel moment, subiect de reflecţie filosofică în scrierile sale, care, timp de două decenii, au îmbrăcat forme variate: studii, articole, conferinţe, însemnări, cronici religioase şi note publicistice. O parte însemnată dintre acestea se regăsesc în culegerea de texte Bunul Dumnezeu cotidian. Studii despre religie, ediţie îngrijită de Marin Diaconu, Bucureşti, Editura Humanitas, 2004. Sute de pagini, încărcate de evocări, reflecţii, participări la disputele din presa vremii se deschid cu studiul Logos şi eros în metafizica creştină (1930), aşteptând parcă un demers exegetic ordonator.
