SIGRID UNDSET: “BLANKE DRØMMER OG DET GRAA LIV” / BRIGHT DREAMS AND THE GRAY LIFE. Authors: ASTRID SÆTHER. |
||||||
Abstract: Bright Dreams and the Gray Life. This article refers to the works of Sigrid Undset. The doubt and the belief in the women’s creative power is like a thread through Sigrid Undset’s literary works which appeared during the first half of our century. Her literary creation is sustained by the belief in one’s ability to change and revive his life conditions, but it is also marked by a deep scepticism for one’s possibility to improve his conditions alone. In her works, Sigrid Undset is engaged by the life of the modern woman. | |||||||
