Ce volume réunit six contributions récentes que Mariana Istrate a présentées dans des colloques ou qu’elle a publiées dans la revue Dacoromania de l’Institut « Sextil Puşcariu » de l’Académie roumaine. Ces travaux représentent en fait les principaux domaines de recherche où elle s’est illustrée : morphosyntaxe de la langue italienne, lexicologie et sémantique, toponymie et onomastique littéraires. De ce point de vue, la manière dont les six travaux sont groupés s’avère très inspirée.
