  Abstract:  Dans notre article nous partons de la conviction de Albig et Bain qui soutiennent que les proverbes représentent un indice du minimum et du maximum culturel d’une nation aussi bien que d’une micro-collectivité linguistique. En utilisant la méthode démographique nous avons essayé d’établir la compétence parémiologique des sujets interviewés et d’analyser le rapport existant entre les proverbes présents dans l’unique recueil de proverbes roumains de Hongrie et les proverbes du corpus roumain général.
