||||||
Abstract: For Ricardo’ s times and for his essential purpose, his simple model and the related demonstration of the superiority of trade were certainly adequate. In this paper we consider the basic analytical relationships that obtain in the Ricardian model. These will provide the propositions that underlie the Ricardian theorem which refers to the patterns of trade, which is that a country will export that commodity in which it has comparative labor productivity advantage. | |||||||
