  Abstract:  The purpose of this material is to introduce us into the concept and the process of risk management. Risk management is a process that involves 5 steps: identification, quantification, control and risk financing, implementation and the results monitorisation. Each step is important, but the most important seems to be control and risk financing. That is why these steps are presented in detail. In the end, it is presented a statistic of insurance premium distrinution in USA in 1999, that gives us an idea about the option of risk financing.
