  Abstract:   În orice societate comercială, utilizarea maximă a capacităţilor de producţie, are o deosebită importanţă. De aici nevoia managerului să organizeze şi să urmărească modul în care se cunosc, se utilizează şi se evaluează capacităţile de producţie, şi pe această bază să se perfecţioneze procesul de fundamentare a planurilor şi de folosire raţională a utilajelor şi suprafeţelor de producţie. Noţiunea de capacitate de producţie, caracterizează posibilităţile potenţiale productive de o anumită structură şi calitate, care se poate obţine într-o unitate de producţie, în decursul unui interval de timp dat în condiţiile folosirii intensive şi extensive a mijloacelor de producţie şi a celui mai eficient regim de lucru al acestora.
