  Article:   IT CHALLENGES FOR THE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT.

  Abstract:  This paper shows some important aspects of the new IT challenges for the business environment. In fact, IT is now the creator of the digital economy and we could say that companies managers are dealing now with a new way of working in a global business environment. Another important element shown here is based upon need for understanding the IT key role which could be for companies managers the support in obtaining the competitive advantage on the global business market. The third important aspect is the information management in the economic organizations which involve continuos efforts in improving, development, maintenance and redesign of the IT and enterprise information system. The last aspect shown in this study is a SWOT analyze of Romanian IT industry which is very important for business investors and could be an opportunity and a challenge for companies managers on the romanian business market.
