  Abstract:  Although there are many industries in which a change in customers needs and beliefs drives a dramatic change in their purchasing pattern, the food industry (along with the clothes and the cars ones) is by far the most sensitive at cultural (including social) changes. That is why the following paper is an attempt to give an answer to some of the main questions related to the subject: How the social –cultural environment influences the human behavior? What has changed in human behavior in late 20th century? What has changed in food industry? How these new alimentation patterns affect us?
