Volumul Patrimoniul Sfânt al Doctorului în Istoria Artei, Gheorghe Mândrescu, are o dedicație de suflet omenos, de erudit universitar și 600 de pagini de trăiri, jurnale, istorie, cercetare și colaborare sârguincioasă și perseverentă a Artei Europene, preponde¬rent despre patrimoniul din Ardeal. Fiind istoric și critic de artă, și-a intitulat volumul Patrimoniul Sfânt în urma cercetărilor istorice și arhitecturale publicate în Biserici de lemn din Țara Năsăudului și Ținutul Bistriței moșteniri de credință, și a altor articole despre monumente religioase românești din Ardeal.
