  Abstract:  The paper aims at some results on the seismicity of the SE Carpathians and their foreland. Two unusual effects are dealt with: (i) the intermediate-depth earthquakes located at the bending zone of East Carpathians, and (ii) the crustal seismicity of the eastern Moesian Platform.
