Abstract:  Eleven spiralled gold bracelets assigned to the classical period of the Dacian civilization (2nd century B.C.-1st century A.D.), each weighting approximately 1 kg, were recovered from the international antiquities market through a common effort of the Romanian and German authorities. This paper presents the results obtained by analyses and comparison with Transylvanian native gold samples in order to determine the authenticity of the bracelets.
