Abstract: As part of the build up to the International Year of Planet Earth (2008), the International Geoscience Education Organisation (IGEO) carried out a survey of school-level geoscience educational provision around the world. The survey, conducted in 2005, received questionnaire feedback from 26 countries across the globe, including the following 12 countries in Europe: Belgium, Czech Republic, England and Wales, Estonia, France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Scotland and Spain.
