  Abstract:  

Regional Disparities in Romania During the Last Century. The main goal of the study is the analysis of the regional disparities in Romania during the last century. The analysis is undertaken at a county level, the only administrative-territorial level existing in Romania between the national and the local level. Considerable importance is given to the historical background of the existing regional disparities patterns. Finally, we should give an insight into the main question if the development path of different regions influences the contemporary economic and social positions of the regions.
