  Abstract:  Critical Aspects in the Functional Geographic System of the Moţilor Land. In a present version, the geographic region is analyzed from the principle of functionality. The presence or the absence of this attribute comes from the quality of the geographic elements, which composed a region, and especially from their interrelation. The bigger it is quality of their interrelation, the most functional is the region. The Moţilor Land is a typical functional geographic region but we could be notice a multitude of critical aspects that might turn into big dysfunction and, in this way, affecting the whole system. We could mentioned as being critic: the mountain agriculture who doesn`t satisfied all the community needs; the loco mentality as a result of the social historic conditions which affects the progress; the present demographically movements which reduce the number of the population by the emigration. We could modify these aspects using lasting strategies to make to live again the economy and to keep the etiquette of Moţilor Land. There are solutions and programs on the roll, which have the purpose to bring again to life the region as it was once upon time.
