Abstract:  The Features of the Mental Space in "Năsăudului Land". The mental space is the fundamental criterion in individualizing a territory by means of its original features, which differentiate it from the neighbouring spaces. In order to decode the features of the mental space in "Năsăudului Land" - having a pyramidal structure similar to the one of the Romanian mental space: the land (the property, the estate), the house (the household, the settlement), the people (the family, the ethnicity), the common law (the custom, the tradition), the myth and the Divinity, at the superior part of the edifice - one needs to start a foray into the intimate matrix of the Romanian one, as to obtain a "complete" radiography of its components. During the process of delimiting the mental space in "Năsăudului Land", we have taken into account especially the first four layers of its structure (the land, the household, the people and the common law), while the myth and the Divinity have similar characteristics (as far as the main ideas are concerned) within the entire territory of Romania.
