Abstract:  The Sweet-Water Natural Lakes from Transylvanian Plain. The few lakes of natural origin are scattered, have small dimensions and depths, and are relatively homogeneous from the point of view of their genesis. Within this cathegory one includes the lakes lying between the landslide waves (Dătăşeni lake), those lying in the erosion basins of the upper stream of several creeks (Pogăceaua and Zoreni lakes), or in small depressions formed as a result of salt dissolution processes and compaction (Ştiucii lake). The paper presents a comparative analysis of the evolution of lacustrine basins, their morphometric characteristics and the dynamics of the sedimentation process. According to existent data, these genetic type of lakes evolve towards sedimentation, a process influenced by the morphologic and structural conditions of the neighbouring region.
