Abstract:  Chioar District as a Political-Military and Social System between the 13th and 17th Centuries. In the analysis of the geographical-historical state of the Chioar there are to be distinguished two evolutionary phases: “Chioar District” as a political-military and social system (the 13th-17th centuries) and the “Chioar Country”, perceived as a geographical system formed under the principle “center-outlying district” (17th-20th centuries). In the first phase there are to be diferentiated three phases: a) the phase of Chioar domain constitution and consolidation (the 13th-14th centuries); b) the phase of maximum development (15th-14th centuries); c) the phase of instability and teasing of the military district (the last part of the 16th-17th centuries).
