Abstract:   This paper focuses on the analysis of the main legislative acts adopted by the Government of Romania during the interwar period in the area of the national industry and economy, with particular attention to the reactions to foreign capital of the main political groups then in power in Parliament. First of all, we have conducted an analysis of the situation of the Romanian interwar economy, dominated by the idea – common to all governments in that period - of transforming the Agrarian State into an industrial one. On the other hand, the period was marked by a continuous exchange of ideas between the main political groups over how industrialization would be made - with or without the support of foreign capital. This situation prompted the promulgation of a series of laws, the analysis of which represents the core of the present work.

Keywords: economic recovery, doctrine, law, foreign capital, investments.
