  Abstract:   The concern for the subject treated in this paper came from the growing importance of business ethics in the post-crisis international context. According to Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and European Union, business ethics failure constitutes the nucleus of the economic and financial crisis. The present article briefly describes the relevance of the European model Honorable Merchant for the reconfiguration of the international financial system, with reference to business ethics values and social responsibility of the multinational corporations.
