  Abstract:   Taking as point of departure the portrait of the modern woman who chooses sport as a means of keeping in shape, both physical, psychical and intellectual, we come down to performance in sport , we come down to the long and difficult road, but at the same time full of satisfactions, that women who chose performance had to walk.Romanian sport is not only about Nastase, Hagi or Patzaichin, but it is also about Lia Manoliu, Nadia, Gabi Szabo, along with many other sportswomen who have made history.
