Abstract. Professor Teodor Hodisan graduated the Faculty of Chemistry of "Babeş-Bolyai" University from Cluj-Napoca in 1966 and was assigned as a scientific researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of the Romanian Academy from Cluj-Napoca. On February 1, 1968, he was appointed by competition as an assistant at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, "Babeş-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca. Afterwards, he ascended through all the steps of the university hierarchy: lecturer (1975), associated professor (1990) and professor (1997). In 1973, he defended his doctoral thesis under the scientific supervision of the renowned emeritus scientist Prof. Docentus Candin Liteanu.
