Abstract: DOI: 10.24193/subbchem.2020.2.04 Published Online: 2020-06-30 Published Print: 2020-06-30 pp. 45-56 VIEW PDF: FULL PDF ABSTRACT: Fuzzy linear discriminant analysis is efficiently applied for the characterization and classification of some Romanian and German mineral waters according to their mineral composition. The samples were successfully classified according to the degrees of membership and canonical scores. A correct classification rate of 88% was obtained when the samples were divided into four groups corresponding to origin and nature of samples. The proposed methodology based on the fuzzy sets theory may be considered as a promising tool with future applications in analytical chemistry and other related fields.
