  Abstract:   The first data about lichen-forming fungi from the Ukrainian Carpathians (UC) were mentioned in the late 19th century by Fr. Hazslinszky. Further information on this subject was published by famous lihenologists such as M. Makarevych, J. Nadvornik, A. Hilitzer, J. Hruby, A. Oxner, J. Suza, O. Szatala, and A. Vezda et al. Further valuable data in the study of lichen-forming fungi from the UC were presented by A. Khodosovtsev, S. Kondratyuk, S. S. Postoyalkin, O. Roms, and Zelenko et al. (Makarevich et al., 1982; Oxner, 2010).
