  Rezumat:  The present paper aims at offering a meta-analysis regarding the didactic competences profiles existing in the Romanian field literature. The term didactic competence is analysed in relation to the newly adopted field of quality assurance in education and the new model considers the complexity as well as the dynamicity that the professional profile for the didactic career must integrate. Consequently, an original integrative model organised around action and reflection, the two intrinsic aspects necessary in the effective teaching activity is described.
