  Abstract:  In this study the development of language is presented during different periods of communication technologies, which technologies influenced the character of the Bible’slanguage, too. The differences between communication in general and Christian communication are also emphasized. The main difference: the most important characteristicof Christian communication is the presence and role of the Holy Spirit in understandingthe Scripture. Jesus Christ communication is presented as the best model of communication and also the relationship between Church and communication. It is emphasized that Christian communication confronts us with Christian belief.Boross Geza points out that all the problems in church result from a lack of communication.The relationship between church and communication is a complex one, acts of communication are: testimony, mission, deaconry, religious education and worship. In the 21th century the religion also has to be up-to date and the ability is also needed to use these modern communication technologies.New challenges arise – in this whole world interweaving network, which is nowadayspart of every person’s life, making possible world-wide communication, can we find our place? Are we able to use this possibility for representing and transmitting God’s message through this new technology? Can we make good use of the above mentioned technology’s knowledge for developing the community, stimulating the mission work etc.
