Authors:  IOAN CHIRILĂ.

Abstract:  Joshua and Jesus in Orthodox Patristic Discourse and Liturgy. The paper presents Joshua as a typological figure of Jesus. This typological relationship is explored by appealing both to the patristic discourse and to several different liturgical texts which explicitly refer to it in these terms. The author focuses on shifting the accent from historical information to spiritual relevance of the Joshua accounts.
