  Abstract:  Studiul de faţă repune întrebările asupra tradiţiei pornind de la provocările hermeneuticii filosofice a lui Gadamer. Diferenţiind între tradiţionalism, tradiţiile dialogului hermeneutic şi Tradiţia Bisericii, acest studiu oferă o analiză a acestora din perspectiva teologiei ortodoxe contemporane. Tradiţia Bisericii se dezvăluie astfel ca Tradiţie a Duhului Sfânt, pentru care discursul hermeneutic trimite în mod inevitabil către rugăciune şi viaţă eclezială. Consecinţele unei asemenea înţelegeri diminuează diferenţele dintre cei ce păstrează Tradiţia şi cei care o creează, subliniind ideea că atât unii, cât şi ceilalţi sunt, la rândul lor, creaţi de Tradiţie.
