Abstract:  The University Press of Cluj, 2008, 507 p.
Between the 3rd and 6th of December 2007, at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Cluj was held the conference Ethics-Etnicity-Confession. A lot of theologians took part in this manifestation, and their papers and discussions made the meeting towards these three religious and social realities possible. All these papers were gathered in this volume, whose coordinator was Fr. Stefan Iloaie. The subjects are of maximum actuality. The historical, social and religious changes from the last decades, and also the new phenomenon of globalization, implies the multiplication and the fundamental modification of inter-human relations. This process causes rapid axiological changes, which create new values man is confronted with; he experiences the devalorization of that which was sure in the past and discovers the moral mess manifested in corruption, religious, social or ethical intolerance. The polychromy of Europe claims the establishing of the landmarks of inter-relation at the level of faith, mentality and culture. This is why dealing with such a theme in a symposium and then in a volume means the support for the effort of understanding the concepts, the overcoming of the asperities. Likewise, it becomes a landmark for future treatment of the subject.
