  Abstract:  Wanting to raise the level of theological education in his diocese, Nicolae Ivan laid in 1924, the foundations of Orthodox Theological Academy of Cluj. Among the chairs, the most important was ecclesiastical history, which consisted of three disciplines: general ecclesiastical history, the history of the Romanian Church and Patristics. Between 1924 and 1952, the date of its dissolution, the chair was held by three professors of high theological and cultural level: Gheorghe G. Stănescu, Alexandru Filipaşcu and Ioan Lupaş. This study includes the themes and the curriculum, and a short bio-bibliography of each of these teachers.

RESUMÉE. La chaire d’Histoire Ecclésiastique (1924-1952). En voulant élever le niveau de l’enseignement théologique de son évêché, Nicolae Ivan a jeté, en 1924, les bases de L’Académie Théologique Orthodoxe de Cluj. Parmi les chaires les plus importantes figuraient celle d’histoire ecclésiastique, qui consistait en trois disciplines: l’histoire ecclésiastique générale, l’histoire de l’Église Roumaine et la patrologie. Entre 1924 et 1952, date de sa dissolution, la chaire a été détenue par trois professeurs de haute culture théologique et prophane: Gheorghe G. Stănescu, Alexandru Filipaşcu et Ioan Lupaş. La présente étude comprend la thématique et le programme des cours, ainsi qu’une courte bio-bibliographie de chacun de ces professeurs.
