Abstract:  Hospitality and christian in antiquity. Considerations. Christianity brought a new concept in the history of inter-human relations in socially life. The concept of wealth received another value, the wealth receive a meaning only by using it to help the poor. Charity was important not only for the salvation of the soul. Christians must be free of riches, to be free for God. Christian attitude towards wealth contrasted with the pagan concept, the pagans wanted to have as much as possible in this life. For the Romans, property, wealth and high social position was the true purpose in life, were the power and happiness, which they perceived depending on the material life. Agape was the most concrete manifestation of Christian love and affection, it can not be compared with the feeding a mass of parasites and stray as the pagans were accusing the Christians.
